Learning Tracks
The LEARNING TRACKS for “Jabberwocky” can be played or downloaded here. Students are expected to learn the entire piece, as it will be performed as part of the All-State concert.
Second round auditions will follow a procedure similar to last year’s: there will be 8 separate audition rooms as usual with no combining of voice parts.
Sopranos: All sopranos sing the same notes except for a divided part in m. 63. The notes for both parts are played in that measure. Check with your teachers to be sure you are learning the correct notes.
Altos: There are two parts. Both parts are recorded and available below.
Tenors: There is a single tenor part.
Basses: All basses sing the same notes except for a divided part in mm. 103 & 104. Only the Bass 2 notes are played in these two measures. Check with your teachers to be sure you are learning the correct notes.
The tempo for all recordings is 104.
