The February 10th Louisiana Department of Education Newsletter requests that each school district in Louisiana conduct a music education survey. Each school district will select one representative to complete the survey for the entire school district. The survey will be conducted on-line through a link in the newsletter. The narrative from the Newsletter is as follows: “The 2016 Louisiana Teacher of the Year is Kelly Stomps, a music teacher in the St. Tammany Parish School System. Kelly’s goal this year is to enhance music education in the state. To assist her, we are collecting information about music education in elementary and middle schools (K-8). Please have one person from your LEA complete this short survey by Friday, February 26.”
