Clinic Sessions
With the larger conference space at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, we are able to offer Professional Development Sessions in all divisions on the same days. This will increase the variety of pertinent sessions on each day, affording our attendees a greater selection.
Scheduling. If a proposal is accepted, it will be scheduled based on the subject area selected on the clinic proposal application and may be scheduled on any of the conference days.
Reimbursement. LMEA does not reimburse expenses incurred by any presenter or co-presenter.
Conference Registration. All presenters and co-presenters must register for the conference prior to the registration deadline.
Session Suggestions
Based on our post-conference survey, our attendees have submitted topic ideas for future sessions including:
- Instrumental, Strings, and Vocal Technique (individuals and ensembles)

- Sight-Reading Strategies
- Assessment Tips (performance and sight-reading)

- Non-Traditional Ensembles (Cajun Zydeco, Gospel Choir, Brass Band, Modern Band, etc.)

- Tips from Current Teachers and Directors
- Student Leadership
- All Things Technology
- Advocacy
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Deadline for Submitting Clinic Session Proposal/Application
The deadline for a proposal submission is midnight July 31, 2025. Tentative decisions will be made by the end of September. Those who have submitted proposals will be notified by email as to which proposals are selected.
Session Abstract, Presenter and Co-presenter Bios and Headshots
- A session abstract or description, the presenter’s and any co-presenters’ bios and headshots must be submitted as part of the clinic session application.
- If a proposed clinic session is selected, these will be included in LMEA’s conference magazine and on the LMEA website.

2026 Collegiate Summit Session Information
- Select CNAfME as your division/category on the application form)
- A session abstract or description, the presenter’s and any co-presenters’ bios and headshots must be submitted as part of the clinic session application.
