Location: McNeese State University, Cowboy Stadium, Lake Charles

Traditional and Corps Style Competition

There is no qualifier to enter the State Marching Championship Competition.

Gate opens one hour before each day’s first performance.
Admission is $15 on Monday and Tuesday. Admission is $10 on Wednesday.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE – for Directors

This schedule includes check-in, warm-up, and performance times and designated areas for warm-ups.

Registration:

Entry Fee: $350
Videography Fee: $40
Fees can be paid by check or credit card.

If paying by check: Make check out to Louisiana Music Educators Association and mail it with your emailed confirmation to Scotty Walker, LMEA Executive Director, 410 Holden Avenue, Lafayette, LA 70506. Postmark deadline is August 29, 2025.

Registration Deadline: August 29, 2025 (midnight)

Entry form – all forms must be submitted online. However, there is a paper form available for those who need it for a bookkeeper. (to be updated soon)

Late entries (after August 29) will be assessed a fee of $50. If an entry is received after the schedule is set, that band will be assigned the first performance position in their respective class.

Classifications:

Classifications will be assigned once all entries have been received and will be based on the total number of performers. (Total number of performers includes winds, battery, front ensemble, colorguard, auxilliary, and drum majors.)

Announcer Notes:

Announcer notes will be submitted by google form to be sent to all registered directors by October 17, 2025.
